The 33-year-old woman found dead in a bathtub at the swanky Soho House hotel Thursday has been identified as a gorgeous Manhattan fashion designer, a source said.

Cops were questioning Sylvie Cachay’s boyfriend, Nicholas Brooks, the son of sleazy Oscar-winning songwriter Joseph Brooks.

No one has been charged with a crime and the medical examiner has not released a cause of death.

Cachay’s body was discovered about 3 a.m. inside the exclusive Ninth Ave. hotel, with bruises on her neck, sources said.

A friend said Cachay and Brooks, who had been dating for about two months, had a rocky relationship.

“I don’t think it was a healthy relationship,” said the pal. “I just think he’s unstable from what she’s told me.”

An emotional Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels recalled a happy Kenny McKinley on Tuesday, one day after police found the receiver in what they said was an apparent suicide.

McDaniels said the team saw no evidence that McKinley, who has been on injured reserve since Aug. 5, was suicidal.

“We’ve all seen him the same way. He’s been the same guy,” McDaniels said. “Nothing that would alarm us.

A monster storm ripped through the city Thursday evening, killing one person, snapping mighty trees, and flipping tractor-trailers like toys.

New Yorkers scrambled for cover from torrential rain, hail the size of nickels, and 100 mph winds when the storm hit at 5:20 p.m. on the heels of tornado warnings.

Weather officials could not confirm a twister touched down, but witnesses reported funnel clouds in Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens.

The sky turned a sickening shade of green as the destructive winds blew in, toppling a church steeple, blowing out windows and mowing down a forest’s worth of trees.

Multiple trees down and wires on Utopia Parkway after a major storm hit the area.

A man suspected of shooting a Johns Hopkins Hospital doctor has fatally shot himself and his mother, who had been hospitalized, according to Baltimore police.

The shootings ended a four-hour standoff at Hopkins’ sprawling East Baltimore campus.

The suspect had barricaded himself on the eighth floor of the hospital’s Nelson Building for about four hours, according to police. The doctor, whose identity has not been released, was shot in the abdomen. He is in surgery but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Lena Horne Has Passed Away at the Age of 92, , Horne who came to fame at Harlem’s Cotton Club before embarking on a career in film, television and the theater, died Sunday. She was 92.

Having first made her mark as a nightclub performer, Horne made notable appearances in MGM musicals such as Cabin in the Sky and Stormy Weather, whose title song became her trademark musical number.

Despite her beauty and talent, Horne’s film career was hobbled by racism, which often led to her performances being removed from films that played in Southern states. She was an outspoken advocate for civil rights throughout her career.

As well as numerous appearances on television, Horne found her greatest success returning to the stage, especially in her Tony-winning 1981 solo Broadway hit Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music.

Robin Roberts, who is known to have played a major role in leading the Philadelphia Phillies to achieve the National League pennant, breathed his last on Thursday morning in the presence of his family members. The Hall of Fame pitcher, who was 83 at the time of his death, is said to have died due to natural causes in his Temple Terrace, Florida home near Tampa. The Philadelphia Phillies announced the news of Robin Roberts‘ demise on Thursday ans it has been stated that the team would the much acclaimed pitcher’s demise by adorning No. 36, his jersey number, in their uniform for the rest of the season.

Alot of confusion has occurred over this death as Robin shared a name with a popular News Anchor of ABC’s Good Morning Robin Roberts. Robin Roberts the news anchor is still alive and well and has been doing great since her announcement of Breast Cancer back in 2007…

Nigeria’s ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua, who gave amnesty to armed militants in the troubled oil-rich Niger Delta region, died today. He was 58.

Yar’Adua had not been seen since November, when he went to Saudi Arabia for treatment of an inflammation of tissue around his heart. He was diagnosed with that condition, acute pericarditis, last fall after he complained of chest pain.

He returned to Nigeria in February but had remained out of sight.

Vice President Goodluck Jonathan has served as the country’s acting leader since Yar’Adua fell ill.
