Nauru signs UN refugee convention


NAURU has ratified the United Nations Refugee Convention, yesterday releasing a photograph of its president Marcus Stephen signing the document to prove the point.

This boosts Opposition leader Tony Abbott’s attack on the federal government over its Malaysia refugee swap, because Malaysia is not a signatory to the Refugee Convention.

Signatories commit to key human rights principles, including not returning refugees to countries from which they have fled.

California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla is back in town, and it didn’t take long for his presence to be noticed by George and Cindy Anthony.

Padilla was outside the Anthony home with a camera crew Wednesday evening on Hopespring Drive when the Anthonys called 911, and Orange County deputies responded.

George Anthony called dispatch and said a man was outside his home, even though he shouldn’t be there.

Updated, 1:05 p.m.: Authorities are searching the Franconia area home of a man being held in connection with an earlier scare involving a suspicious abandoned vehicle that closed roads around the Pentagon, an FBI official said.

Law enforcement sources confirmed that the man detained in the incident is Yonathan Melaku, 22, of Alexandria. A man with the same name was arrested by police after more than 25 cars in Leesburg were damaged in the early morning hours of May 26.

Melaku’s home is in the Autumn Chase development near the intersection of Beulah and Schurtz Streets in Fairfax County.

Brian Dunkleman born on 25th September 1971, in Ellicottville, New York, is a comedian and actor. He is best known as being co-host with Ryan Seacrest on the first season of American Idol on the Fox Network.

Dunkleman has appeared on The Tonight Show, had a recurring guest role on Two Guys and a Girl, played a stand-up comic suspected of murder in NYPD Blue, voiced himself in an episode of The Proud Family, in which the show parodied American Idol, did voices for the animated 3 South, and is acting in an independent film called Comedy Hell.

He is currently pitching a fictional series about his life after American Idol entitled American Dunkleman.The series is a fictional account of the actor-comic’s life, following the fictional Dunkleman as he tries to work his way back to the television industry, embarrassing himself and disappointing his friends while constantly being reminded that he “could have been a millionaire” had he stuck with Idol.

He can also be seen doing stand up regularly in Los Angeles at the Laugh Factory and Improv, and he makes regular appearances as the host of Family Feud Live in Las Vegas and Atlantic City for Fremantle Media.

He recently ventured into voice work playing Ruiga in Naruto.

Drake is meshing his past with his present in the video for his first official single, “Over.”



We admit it: We had to watch “Over” a couple times to see what Drake was trying to get at in this clip,. The video starts off sort of plain as Drake sits in an all-white room contemplating the struggles of his old life in comparison with the challenges that fame has presented.



From there, “Over” explodes in color and imagery that depict all the thoughts bouncing around in his head. Get a look inside Drake’s mind when you watch the video below.
